傍晚接到一通不認識號碼打來的電話

"Hello?"

"....... %&*%%&@" 像是西班牙語的名字

"....Hello? Who is it?"

"....... %&*%%&@" 依舊是西班牙話

"Sorry, I think you got the wrong number, bye."

掛掉電話只覺莫名其妙, 但, 兩分鐘後...電話又響了

"Hello? You dialed the wrong number, again."

"Do you speak Spanish?"

"Uh......no..." 有人打錯電話還會扯那麼多嗎?

"How did you get this number?"

"I bought it on Amazon and T-Mobile assigned this number to me."

"Was it from someone else?"

"NO! I bought it on Amazon and T-Mobile assigned this number to me." 再重複了一次

"Oh.... When did you get this number?"

"hmmm... about a months ago"

"My daughter was lost before you got this number, and it was her number"

".............." 愣住

"You are in Chicago, right?"

"...Yes" 還是震驚

"Do you know her? Did you see her?"

"I don't have any idea. I'm so sorry to hear that"

她的再見聲有著深深地失落, 而我掛電話了以後呆了好陣子, 簡直不敢相信剛聽到的內容, 從latino媽媽努力用簡單英文拼湊的對話, 可以感受到她一線希望燃起又馬上被澆熄的失望, 最近正在看的模仿犯劇情霎時變得真實起來, 我暗自希望這只是民事案件。

晚上在MSN上和Isabelle聊著, 她突然丟了一篇旅行網誌給我, 內容是關於一個台灣的旅行者在喀什米爾失蹤的事件, 傍晚接到那通電話時的雞皮疙瘩又爬了一身, 馬上丟了訊息告訴Isabelle我下午才接到跟失蹤有關的電話, 敘述完她也直喊好毛好毛, 是阿, 在我沈迷於模仿犯的時候接到這樣的電話, 又在當晚看到相關的文章, 一連串的巧合讓我很難不在意, 真的是要告訴我甚麼嗎？
